Blue Tubes

While they cost a bit more than the paper tubes, Blue Tube is durable alternative to those phenolic and carbon-fiber tubes. Used by the military in tank ammunition, this material is abrasive resistant and will not crack. They are great for high power rockets where you need super durability.

Blue Couplers

To go along with the Blue Tubes, here are the couplers that can join them together to make longer rockets. These will also fit the standard size LOC tubes, and those other high power manufacturers that make the tubes to standard sizes.

These tubes from LOC Precision are perfect if you are just getting started in high power rocketry and are on a budget. Made from paper, they are easy to cut, sand, glue, and paint. They will allow you to experiment with your own designs and construction techniques without putting you in debt.

These regular Kraft-paper couplers fit the same tubes as the Blue Tube Couplers. So if we're out of a size of the Blue Coupler you need, this could be an alternative you may want to consider.

Cesaroni (also known as CTI) is a manufacture of reloadable rocket motors. These motors are made in the standard diameters, so they will fit into your current fleet of rockets without having to do any further modifications.

AeroTech RMS Delay Drilling Tool

This special drill tool allows you to shorten the delay time on Aerotech's reloadable motors that use the RMS or the RMS+ style delay grains. Basically that is everything that we carry here on the Apogee Components web site. You'll now be able to get the perfect parachute ejection right at the apogee of the trajectory.

AeroTech RMS Reload Adapter System

The Aerotech reload adapter system saves you money by reducing the number of reload cases that you need to buy to fly a variety of rocket engines. The spacers allow you to put shorter propellant sticks into the longer cases. So instead of buying six different motor cases, you can reduce that number to two with this accessory.

Rail Buttons are used in place of launch lugs on larger rockets. The reason is that big rockets need a stiffer launcher so they don't sway around in breezy conditions. A launch rail is much stiffer than a circular rod, and therefore are used on big rockets so they launch safely and higher into the sky.

Removable Plastic Rivets

Used on large high power rockets to hold the sections together - great for holding electronic bays!  They are the fasteners that allow you to quickly assemble the rocket on the range without having to drive in a number of screws. Just push them in the holes in the rocket, and they grab to hold the tubes together for the entire flight. After the flight, just pull them out with your fingers. Yes, they are reusable for the next flight too!

AltimeterOne

See how high your rocket flew! This is the one altimeter you'll use in all your rockets because it does not require a separate payload bay. It is far more durable than any other altimeter because it is encased in ABS-plastic. It also is the first inexpensive altimeter to have a LCD screen that displays the altitude that the rocket reached during flight. Better get two, because your friends are going to steal this out of your range-box!

Are you looking for a heavy-duty pad that can hold a rail and those big high-power rockets? With its all steel construction, and tilting head, this pad was developed specifically for people that want something that makes it easy to load those oversize rockets. It is the last pad you'll ever buy.

Epoxy Clay

While it has a 1,001 uses around the house, it works great on rockets to make super-strong fillets where the fins attach to the rocket. Better than regular epoxy because it stays in place and doesn't ooze all over the rocket. So you can get perfect fillets on all your fins, without having to do them one at a time.

Nomex Wadding

While not required, this would be a useful addition to this kit. If you don't use a heat shield, you'll have to use disposable wadding to protect the parachute from the heat of the ejection charge. And for a large diameter kit like this, it will take a lot of disposable wadding.

Shock Cord Protectors

While not required, this would be a nice upgrade to most high power rockets. A shock cord protector prevents the shock cord from getting too scorched by the ejection charge.

Motor Mount Adapters

These adapters allow you to put a smaller diameter motor into a rocket that has a motor mount tube up to two sizes larger. This is a great way to save money by putting a smaller motor in a big rocket.

Tender Descender

This unique mechanism allows you to perform dual-deployment using a single parachute stowage compartment. It works by preventing the main chute from inflating, even though it has been ejected out of the rocket. At the right time (as determined by your dual-deployment electronics), it splits apart allowing the chute to fully inflate to bring the rocket down slowly and safely.

Ejection Canisters

These are small containers that hold the black powder ejection charge that is ignited by dual-deployment devices. The canisters are a one-time use item, as they melt from the heat of the ejection charge. Used only on high power rockets.
