We have started the process of locating the various clubs (both low-power and HPR rockets) around the globe so that you can find a place to launch rockets near you. As of July, 2007, we've located over 125 launch sites, and we'll be adding more as people send us information about their own clubs.
This database is in Google-Earth format. Just download it from the link below, and drag it onto the free Google-Earth software.
Step 1: Download and install the Google-Earth software. http://earth.google.com/
Step 2: Download our database file (KML format), and save it to your desktop. This file last updated: 8/16/07
Step 3: Start the Google-Earth software. Drag the KML database file onto the running application. Turn on the check-box next to the launch site folder in the places section on the left side of the window.
Step 4: Rotate the globe and zoom in on your location. Find the club sites nearest you, and click on them.
Step 5: Visit the web site of that local club to get launch times and other important information! Do not use the launch site without asking permission first.
