Science Fair Projects (Information Links)

69 Simple Science Fair Projects with Model Rockets: Aeronautics A book with lots of excellent rocketry projects.

http://www.ipl.org/youth/projectguide/ Guide to creating a good science fair project. Nothing on rockets, but it gives good basics.

R&D Projects - These may give you ideas for science fair projects of your own.

What project doesn't work - The most common science fair project tries to find the best fin shape that yeilds the highest altitude. This project is useless, and doesn't yeild any valuable data. Find out why in this little report.

Piston Launchers - Get another 5% increase in altitude just by launching from a piston launcher! A piston launcher converts the hot exhaust gases from the rocket engine into high-pressure that kicks the rocket into the air at a faster velocity. Two sizes available for either 18mm or 24mm rocket engines. Makes for a great science fair project!

Actual Customer Comment:

My friend and I work with the 11-year old boy scouts in our neighborhood, my son being one, and they've been excited to build their own rockets and watch them launch.  We haven't told them about the "surprise" Aspire rocket yet - we'll show them that rocket when they all launch theirs.  We hope we've helped get them excited about rocketry and space exploration too.-- Karl Crandall
