Use Apogee's Nose Cones To Make Your
Own Rocket Designs Fly!
Choosing nose cones for your customized rockets is easy using our simplified numbering system and the charts listed here. The number following the part name tells you the tube diameter in millimeters. For example, a PNC-18 plastic nose cone will fit a 18mm dia. tube.

For those who are not familiar with tubes being listed in "millimeters," here is a conversion chart that will help you compare our part names against those used by Estes Industries:

13mm dia. = BT-5 size tube
18mm dia. = BT-20 size tube
24mm dia. = BT-50 size tube
41.6mm dia. = BT-60 size tube
56mm dia. = BT-70 size tube
66mm dia. = BT-80 size tube

Nose Cones For Big Rockets!

Do you have a big-rocket project that you are working on? We've got quite a few nose cones that will put the tip on it. See the chart below for specifications and to place your order.

These are high power nose cones that fit both the LOC kraft-paper tubes, as well as the Blue Tubes. The nose cones are blow-molded out of Polypropylene plastic, which makes them hollow, yet very durable so they'll take the abuse of any high power motor you care to put behind them.

Shockwave fiberglass nose cones are designed to fit the blue tubes, LOC & fiberglass tubes (29mm only fits the blue tube). Because of the handmade nature, weights and shoulder lengths will vary a bit and it will need sanding before painting.
Shockwave nose shapes: 29mm - "5-1 Ogive;" 38mm - "7-1 Von Karmon;" 3" & 4" - "6-1 Von Karmon"

LOC & Madcow nose cones fit both the LOC kraft-paper tubes, and the Blue Tube. We've noticed the fit is a little tight on the Blue Tube, but a little sanding on the inside edge of the tube should take care of that.  A strong screw eyelet is molded right into the base. Metal Screw eye is not included.
