Raise your rocket's performance above the rest!

Launch Rod Adjustment Spring InstalledUse the Odd'l Rockets Launch Rod Adjustment Spring to lift up your rocket away from the blast deflector.  Raising it up with this spring system will:

  1. Prevent charred fins from engine flame flashback
  2. Prevent shorted clips and igniters due to touching the metal blast deflector
  3. Places boots gliders, monocopters, helicopters and other rockets at the perfect height for an optimal launch
  4. Eliminate the need for messy tape wraps and charred clothes pins and motor casings.

Nomex Wadding

While not required, this would be a useful addition to this kit. If you don't use a heat shield, you'll have to use disposable wadding to protect the parachute from the heat of the ejection charge. And for a large diameter kit like this, it will take a lot of disposable wadding.

Provide a bit extra fire protection to the grass under the launch pad with the 5-by-5 foot nomex blanket.

Balsa Sheets

So you've got your design in RockSim, and you're ready to start building.  While tubes and nose cones come in pretty standard sizes and shapes, the sky is hardly the limit on how your fins will look.  Pre-designed, pre-cut fins just won't cut it for your rocket, so you'll need sheets of balsa to cut out your own!
